Remote Start Brands Vary Greatly

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Well, I guess I might buy a cheap jar of peanut butter once in awhile. It might just taste bad or be hard spread on a piece of bread.

But what happens if you skimp on buying a remote start ?

Well, Best case scenario? Your car does not start with your remote start when you want it to.

Bad case scenario ? Your car does not start at all, period. Even with the key.

Worse case scenario ? Your vehicle electronics get damaged at the tune of thousands of dollars. (Car dealers tend to be very unsympathetic)

ENORMIS does not brag about being the cheapest guy in town. We brag about selling and installing the most reliable remote starts we have found, period.

Does “NO CUT WIRES” mean the same thing from all shops?

Sunday, October 18th, 2009

ENORMIS tells people “We Don’t Cut Wires”. Well, ENORMIS has found that some shops are telling people they make the same connections ENORMIS does. WRONG. The connection ENORMIS makes is very expensive. (*We use 3M Plug-In Type Connections)Most shops do NOT use this method because they do NOT want to spend the money on the brand and/or the connection. This video shows what most shops do when they say, “WE DON’T CUT WIRES TOO!” They use Black tape to secure a connection in an automotive environment!

*Be careful; Some shops will “bait” you. As you call “all around” shopping for a remote start, some shops will say, “Be careful about those shops that use “plug-in” connectors. These disingenuous shops may also give you a specific brand name remote start to stay away from. They snicker after you hang up the phone knowing the next shop you call will say the brand name they just mentioned.

Want a remote start installed in your Lincoln, Ford, Mercury, Dodge, Chrysler, or Jeep Vehicle? Don’t act surprised when the shop installing your remote start says that they need 2 keys to install a remote start. We have to talk to the car’s computer. In order to do that we have to show the computer 2 valid working keys. If you only have 1 key it could cost you anywhere from $75 to $200 for another key!

ENORMIS actually owns the $3,000 Ford Computer. So we can actually install a remote start without you having to buy an extra key! So, If you own a Lincoln, Ford, or Mercury vehicle and only have 1 key don’t worry! Our computer even works with some Mazdas!
